Our backups are moved via our own private VLAN to our dedicated backup storage server, which is also running a RAID disk array.

In addition to this, all our servers keep recent backups of customer hosting spaces locally, on separate partitions, so in the event of data corruption, we have backups to hand.

We employ sophisticated intrusion detection systems, and keep our firewalls up-to-date. We run anti-virus software and rootkit detection software, as well as filtering incoming email against DNSBLS

We monitor our servers from several locations globally, and immediately receive emails and SMS text messages in the event of downtime. Our monitoring covers all our public services including: POP3, SMTP, HTTP, TOMCAT & DNS

Where appropriate, we utilise SSL encryption to ensure data is kept safe and secure.

We are registered with the UK data-protection agency.

For application developers, we protect our servers against common web application vulnerabilities.
